At times I prefer the solitude; help me to find the peace in oneness.

  1. Such a majestic looking fellow! 🙂 Your photo has such a marvelous quality with the sharp detail of the feathers and reeds contrasting the with the almost fog-like appearance of the light on the water behind!

There is a paradox, i believe, in the requirement that to be at oneness we have to embrace everything and recognise that we are also existing within everything that is. It is necessary to lose one’s awareness as a single entity, not to isolate it.

It seems your state has been granted a temporary reprieve from the earlier forecast – I’ll continue to pray it moves out of your vicinity! 🙏

    Stay safe! 🙂

    • Thanks so much for your kind words. My area of FL (east/central) was “side-swiped” by Dorian as it inched past–part of the outer edge made landfall, but not the eye. Fortunately, it had downgraded to a Cat 2 by then, but it still got pretty scary at times. I’m a mere 6 miles from the coast. So grateful it’s over, and so sad for the Bahamians who lost everything.

I used some filters on the photo to enhance the lighting and effects. He tended to blend in to his surroundings, and I wanted to play that up a bit.

Thank you again, and hoping your week is going well. The sun is out for the first time in days and i am enjoying this bright world! x

      • So glad to hear you are OK. I hope you had no personal loss. (No chance of flooding i hope?)

Saw horrible scenes from The Bahamas and the loss of life is tragic so far but it seems likely to be even worse as more remote places are reached and searched. 😦

Everything is fine here, if a wee bit chilly in the mornings (38 F), but the days are glorious and i’ve been posting loads of flower photos and have a ton to come (not counting the flowers still yet to bloom!)

Keep those glowing feelings happening and always find the enjoyment in life. 🙂

        ooxx
