When I’m not well and feeling vulnerable, continue to protect me from all harms.

  1. I’m deeply hoping this is not reflecting your current position and that you are actually in an obscenely healthy state, physically as well as mentally, at this moment!

I well realise however, that there are times when all of us just need to lie low and gather our strength, that lies inherently within each one of us, while knowing that there is a guardian who will watch over and protect us until we are strong enough to take on the challenges of this world with renewed vigour and direction of purpose. 🙂

Here’s to being like the Bird of paradise – standing up tall and showing the world the best you have got; being a Stand-out! (Or just being outstanding at what you do) 😉

    Take care Sandy. o x

    • Hello and thank you for your meaningful note. Obviously, I can’t go into detail here, but life has been challenging and I’m sure I’ll find my way out of it as I usually do. It just wears one out after a while.

I was struck by how the healthier looking bird-of-paradise seemed to be protecting the much more frail-looking one. When we are feeling mentally frail and vulnerable, it’s always good to have someone near who can deflect the bad feelings and give a push in the right direction. That’s what Dan used to do for me. I miss that (and so much more).

Hopefully all is well with you “down under.” I need to make some time and go visit your blog. Work, as always has been overwhelming. Take care and thank you! xo

  2. Things are fine in my part of the Universe, thank you! 🙂

When i say fine, it is Winter and unusually it has become a little chilly (5-16 C), grey and a little wet. 😉
Interestingly, our Spring flowers, freesias, poppies, lavender, alyssum, geraniums, boronia and wisteria, are popping up all over already so with any luck it won’t be long till Spring weather returns.

I like your take on the two strelitzia flowers, life can be so much nicer when there is someone close who can ‘cover’ for you when you need it and you can do the same for them. Sometimes just knowing there is someone who cares and is concerned for your welfare is enough to help some.

I have not been doing too much on my blog of late, but i try to make sure i do one quick daily post to try and make someone else’s day a little more fun, at least for a moment anyway. 🙂

Don’t work too hard! And take a moment each day to find the good things in your life. It can ease the ‘worn out feeling a little. 🦋

    • I so appreciate your encouragement and kind words. Thank you so much!

Glad to hear that Spring may have started to make its appearance. The flowers that you mention should give you some great photo ops! I love macro photography with flowers. I used to live near an arboretum that had tons of water lilies and got some great close-ups. There’s an arboretum close by–not quite as interesting, but I’ll have to make it a point to visit (with camera) soon.

Take care and it’s always great to hear from you!
