I love the ‘graduated’ colouring of the sky in this photo. I don’t remember ever seeing a sunset with so many different colour tones. I imagine though that watching it in person was even more spectacular and vivid?
Each day is indeed a Gift, which is why we call it The Present! 😉
May you enjoy many more of them.
Hello and thank you again for your thoughts! This was actually a sunrise, captured on one of my early morning walks a little over a week ago. It was outstanding, and all I had with me at the time was my iPhone. So, I tried the best I could to capture what I was seeing without the benefit of my camera. The phone did a fairly decent job, but witnessing it in person was breathtaking.
Thanks again and I hope you have a fabulous week!
I’m still trying to figure out how to tell a photo of a sunrise from a sunset without knowing which way is East?? 😉
Thank you for posting your sunrise, and for your kind wishes – it will be a much nicer week here weather wise! 🙂
Just a thought, but have you considered giving this image a title and ‘commercialising’ it in some way? It really is an exceptionally outstanding picture!
Thanks again for your kind comment. I wouldn’t know where to begin. I’ve never considered selling my photos, because I have always done this for my own therapy/benefit. I’ve never had a head for business, unfortunately.
Hope your week is fabulous, too!
I’m in a similar boat – un fortunately, in both senses of the expression! 😉
Seems a collaboration may be in order! Do you know any artistically challenged, young, commercially brilliant entrepreneurs by any chance? 🙂 🙂
We had a light shower today with a ‘possibility’ of a storm tomorrow. Things are looking UP! 😉
Hope it’s the same for you. 🙂
😀 If I’m fortunate enough to meet someone who fits that description, i’ll let you know!
We had a thunderstorm last evening that sent me into the walk-in closet. After spending most of my life in the tropics, I still can’t seem to warm up to lightning…plus, I had a run-in with a lightning bolt last year that literally sent me packing. I sold my house and moved, as a result.
Hoping your weather becomes more bearable soon! Many times the violent weather heralds a cool front.
Hmmmm… your lightening sounds quite frightening!! So sorry to hear that.
Where i live in Perth there are comparatively few lightening storms and i love to stand outside and watch them as they lighten up the night sky. (From a comfortable distance!) I still count the time between the flash and the thunder that i learned as a small child so i know how far away the strikes are! 🙂
Sadly it seems the forecasters were a tad optimistic about our storm today and i can see nothing but blue skies while it is a warm but comfortable 29 C/~85F.
Hope you get lucky with the entrepreneur soon! (Try asking the Universe the question and see if you can’t make a fast $million or so from your talent!) 🙂
Ha! If I should be so lucky, you’ll be the first to know! Hoping your weekend is peaceful and much cooler. 🙂
