My Second Chance Journey With Dan ~ Interlude 215

When life is emphatically chaotic, help me to find peace amidst the dissonance.

  1. I find when life starts to appear as Chaotic the best practice is to do as the tortoise does and take things slow and steady…
…if things seem too chaotic then slip back into your shell until thing blow over! 😉

I’m reading a book by James Gleick called ‘Chaos’ explaining the recent science of Chaos Theory and how it gives us new perspectives on many aspects of our modern world and the reasons it may sometimes seem unpredictable while still having some very dependable and predictable features. Interesting stuff! 🙂

Hoping things are proving much less than chaotic at the moment! 😉

    Bob.

    • That sounds like a great read! When I encountered this sweet soul on a nature walk, he was trying his best to hide from me. I could empathize with his plight, so I snapped a couple of quick shots and left him in peace.

Had a nice, quiet Sunday, so I can’t complain. It’s already Monday, there, and I wish you a stress-free (and ordered 🙂 ) week ahead! Thank you!

      • Out of Chaos comes Order! 😉 (The process can take some considerable time however!!) 😉

Thank you for your kind wishes – i will be doing my best to keep ‘cool’ as our forecast is for 6 days straight with maxima >35C.

I’m toying with the idea of sleeping during the day and doing my chores in the cooler nightime! 😉

I’m jealous you get to see wild tortoises on your walks – they always seem to be so placid and peaceful animals. Quite a few of our natives are a little less endearing, but we do have a few cuties also!

I smiled when i read of your empathy with him as he was trying to hide from your view. 🙂

Oh! – i read today that a popular vote run by the BBC to find the most influential people of the 20th century had ranked David Bowie the #1 entertainer in the world of those 100 years! 🙂 The series is called ‘Icons’ and is from BBC2 TV

  2. UGH–so sorry about the heat. I can empathize–to a degree (pun intended), but it’s very rare that we have sustained temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F.

Yes, I’m aware of David Bowie’s recognition in the UK and am so pleased to see he’s received the honors that he deserves. He always shied away from awards, preferring to just hone his craft the way he wanted and without any exterior influences. But, I have a feeling he’s tickled about this one, as he roams the stars and continues to keep us entertained from afar.

As always, thank you for your thoughtful comments. You are appreciated!

  3. As you might be able to tell from my Daily Funny posts – i love a good pun! 🙂 and your appreciation is humbling!

Our news reported that the 5 hottest places on Earth were in Australia, most in my home state, on Monday. The top temp hit 49.2 degrees! I’m not going to calculate what that is in Fahrenheit in case my keyboard or motherboard melts in sympathy! 😉
I’ll just refer to it as Ludicrous heat. 😉 Luckily it’s a little (a very little) cooler down where i am near the coast.

I’m sure you’re right about David – being rated Number One would be a pretty funny thing from his point of view. 🙂

Wishing you a pleasant end to the week. 🙂

  4. Thank you again and sorry for the late response. It has been quite busy at work!

The heat sounds just awful. Hopefully it will break for you soon–preferably before your keyboard melts!

Have a wonderful weekend and hope there is heat relief very soon.

  5. I’m more than happy if people read my comments… if anyone is kind enough to reply that’s a bonus so there is no need for an apology!

On that point though i get a notification from most blogs on WordPress whenever someone replies to comments i make but unfortunately i don’t get them from Ursa-enterprises. 😦

If i have neglected any comments you made in response to mine i humbly apologise.

I probably am informed via my email acc but lately i’ve been relying solely on WP notifications.

Our Met Bureau promises cooler days from Monday, at least for a while. I suspect this will be a long Summer though.

Hope you enjoy your weekend and my bears send you a furry group hug! 🙂
