Solitary life brings sadness; help me to see the value in solitude.

  1. I am constantly amazed that in a world shared by 7,400,000,000 other human souls there can be so much solitude shared by so many individuals?

I live in a city of nearly 2 million… i know maybe 6 well and talk to perhaps at most 10 a week, on average.

    I would ask a question…

… If the situation were reversed and it was somehow possible… what would you tell Dan to do with the rest of his life??

However you celebrate the Winter Solstice, i wish you Peace and Joy! (and a better New Year for 2019) 🙂

  2. I appreciate your thoughts. To answer your question, I would tell Dan to fall in love and find a forever partner so that he would never feel the solitude that I do. I know he wants the same for me, but we can’t force friendships/relationships. Either they happen or they don’t. I count myself lucky to have at one point found my soulmate in this lifetime. It wasn’t meant to be for a long period of time, but I am grateful for the time we had together. Peace and joy to you and yours for 2019! Thank you!

    • Your felicitation is most graciously and gratefully received m’lady,

As indeed is your excellent reply to my question.

True companionship is not obtained by means of force surely; it can however always be nurtured and, with time, blossom through almost anyone we meet.

Sufficient to at least partially melt the icy ‘Fortress of Solitude’ that the cold winds of fate and circumstance can be capable of enveloping around a broken heart.

Solitude does not always have to be seen in a negative light i might add – look for the benefits; the opportunities it allows… however small. 🙂

May your faith sustain you Miss P.
